The City of Greensboro receives revenue from a variety of sources, which may vary in percent from year to
year. Property tax revenue and user fees make up a significant portion of funds available for the City’s use.
Since 2000, appropriations from fund balance, which are funds set aside for emergencies and to provide
working capital, have dropped by 25%. For both the revenue and expense charts, the figures are not adjusted
        for inflation.
