             2.  Channel (Individual) Letter Signs
                 a.  The area of a sign comprised of individual
                    letters or elements attached directly to a
                    building wall is determined by calculating
                    the area of the smallest rectangle that
                    can be drawn around the letters and/or
                    elements (see Figure 5.10-J).
