Race and Ethnicity
The United States is becoming more diverse, and Greensboro has evolved into a majority non-white city over
the past decade. The percentage of Greensboro’s population identifying as a race other than white alone has
increased by 6.9% since 2000. At 7.8%, the Hispanic or Latino population percentage in Greensboro is lower
than the state and nation, but that figure has grown by 3.2% since 2000.
