Yard: the unoccupied and unobstructed space that
exists between a building and a lot line.
Yard, front: a yard extending from the front facade of
the principal building along the full length of the front
or primary lot line, between the side lot lines or, on a
corner lot, between the side and street-side lot lines.
Yard, rear: a yard extending from the rear building
facade along the rear lot line between the side yards or,
on a corner lot, the street side and side yards.
Yard, side: a yard extending from the side building
facade along the side lot line between the front yard
and rear lot line.
Yard, street-side: a side yard abutting a street lot
line.
