Affordable Housing


For general requirements

  1. Select a Zoning District and proposed principal building type from the dropdown menus.
  2. Enter the number of proposed principal dwelling units on the lot to be developed.
  3. Click "Calculate" to display the minimum required number of Affordable Dwelling Units (ADUs) for the proposed development and the Price Tier for each unit.

Then, for each required ADU:

  1. Select the number of bedrooms, price tier, and proposed ADU building type from the dropdown menus.
  2. Click "Calculate" to display maximum prices for rental and ownership units.
  3. Save and repeat steps 1 and 2 until all required ADUs are accounted for.
  4. Use the print button to download and/or print a report of all saved calculations.

Fractional Buyouts & In-Lieu Payments

  1. Choose the Fee Type, Fractional Buyout or In-Lieu Payment, from the dropdown menu.
  2. Enter the number of ADUs to be provided.
  3. For the ADUs that are being bought out, enter:
    1. the number of bedrooms that would have been provided, and
    2. the price tier of the ADU that would have been provided.
  4. Click "Calculate".
  5. If applying for in-lieu payments for multiple ADUs, please enter the number of bedrooms and price tier for the first unit, then click the "Save" icon at the end of the result and repeat steps 2 and 3 as needed.
  6. The estimated cost of the Fractional Buyout or In-Lieu Payments for rental and ownership units will display.
